Foyer

On the entrance of the door is the City of Grass Valley Historical Marker plaque designating the home as a Class A historical structure. This is the original entrance to the home. The right hallway wall is planned to feature historic pictures of the Ben Taylor family who owned this property for over 157 years then sold it to the Curlee family, who are now the home's second owners.

Original 1866 wood staircase

Ben Taylor bought this staircase back east and had it shipped out to California to be installed prior to completing the house in 1866. It has been restored to its original condition by the local Grass Valley Stair Company.
